Moto Cross-Examine: Brock Lassiter

For the last few years, Brock Lassiter has been one Missouri’s fastest little rippers in the 50cc and 65cc classes. Now the Asbury, MO native is tearing it up on the 85cc and just placed second overall at Johnsonville MX Farm for the 9th Annual Blizzard Series in the 85/150 Open 9-15 against a few of the nation’s top mini riders, like Ethan Mann and Brandon Walther. He even took a moto win under lots of pressure. It no doubt he is making his parents and sponsors proud. So, we thought we’d catch up with Lassiter to see what he has been up to since Loretta Lynn’s and get the scoop in his upcoming plans.

Jessica: I’ve got a Missouri rider with us Brock Lassiter. What have you been up to since Loretta Lynn’s?

Brock: I’ve been just practicing and riding. I raced an Arenacross in Claremore, Oklahoma; racing the Texas Winter Series and I’ve also raced one race at the Blizzard Series in Texas too.

With you getting second overall for just a stop at the Blizzard series, because you were told there were going to be some fast competitors there, how was the feeling to run the pace of two of the top racers on 85’s that you have looked up to since you were in 5?

I was pretty confident with my racing and had a lot of excitement at the same time.

Did the pressure bother your racing after coming out with the holeshot, or were you able to stay concentrated?

At first, I wasn’t out front but I sort of dove right in. Fought some riders off and managed to pull the holeshot.

What are the rest of your plans as well as this summer’s plans, Brock?

Well I’ve raced two of the Texas Winter Series on my 85cc that I have taken home first place in both and the third stop is in Oak Hill where I will be at. We plan to make it to al five rounds with the series. The fifth race will be at Freestone. After the Texas Winter Series, we want to race the Oak Hill GNC International and then the James Stewart Freestone National. We are wanting to qualify for my sith year at Loretta’s too.

We are wishing you guys the best of luck with the rest of the series for the Texas Winter Series and hoping to see you at Loretta’s. Anyone you’d like to thank that’s helped you get where you’re at today?

We couldn't do it without our awesome sponsors! Kevin Boswell our #1 supporter, Braap Supply, Bell Helmets, Speedgraffixs, SRS Suspension, Cobra when I’m on my 65cc, Fly Racing, JR5 Powersports, Knobby Shop, and Dunlop Tires.
