Where to Ride This Weekend - March 25-27


Find the best places to ride and race your dirt bike in our local coverage area. We all love to ride dirt bikes. And for most of us, there is a sense of urgency to take advantage of the warm weather and face our enthusiasm for two wheels. Here is this week’s list of places in our area that are running races or hosting practice days. Please refer to the tracks' websites or Facebook Pages for any possible changes.  

Lincoln Trail Motosports, Casey, IL

The 2016 Moto Tech Trailers Spring Shootout AMA Pro-Am Motocross Championship / Area Qualifier Warm-Up Race will also feature Fly Racing Showdown Series at Lincoln Trail Motosports and AMA Distirct 17 points.  This event will include all Amateur and Vet classes in addition to 250 Pro-Am and 450 Pro-Am classes.  Two full days of practice will kick off the event and the entire weekend will take place on the Bomber Track.

  • Rider’s Meeting: 9:30am
  • Racing begins immediately after rider's meeting
  • Two (2) moto format –awards given
  • ALL Amateur Classes (see below)

Sweeney’s MX Playground – Park Hills, MO

Sweeney’s MX has announced a fully prepped practice on Saturday, March 26 from 10am-4pm. The cost is $20 per rider. Sweeney’s is located at 4410 Oakwood Rd. Park Hills, Missouri.

ROMP MX – Richwoods, MO

They are calling it the “Good Friday Practice,” but ROMP MX is hosting a prepped practice this Friday and Saturday. ROMP is located at 10022 Bear Cv, Richwoods, Missouri 63071.

KCMOTO – Adrian, MO

KCMoto will be open for prepped practice on Saturday, March 26 1pm-6pm. Riders will notice lots of track changes since last time there, so this will be a good warm-up for the Midwesst MX Championship race the following weekend, April 3. KCMOTO is at 4353 NW State Route FF Highway Adrian, Missouri.

Ride Organic – Alton, IL

As always, Ride Organic in Alton, Illinois is regularly an option during the weekends to get some seat time. For those of you who have not been to Ride Organic, it is a 72 acre Ranch, 20 acres of it is dedicated to farming Organic vegetables and 20 acres is used for a very unique training for Motocross, Short Track TT, sand track, enduro X and much more. Check it out at 3098 Harris Ln Alton, Illinois.

HLR Motosports – Huntsville, MO

The headquarters of the MO State Series will host a practice this Saturday, March 26, weather permitting of course. Track owner encourages you to call before you haul. HLR says they will try to prep as the weather allows for each practice day. Practice is $20 per rider. Address: 8856 Highway BB Huntsville, MO 65259. Phone: 660-263-4321
