Chase Sexton is a regular at the Ranch and once again, he has qualified for the largest amateur motocross race in the world, the 34th Annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships presented by AMSOIL at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. Sexton took on over 22,000 hopefuls from across America to earn one of just 1,482 qualifying positions. Here is a little bio on our local hopeful.

What does it mean to you to be competing on the biggest stage of amateur motocross?
It means so much to me to be competing at the biggest amateur race in the U.S. I've been working my butt off for this and I'm not stopping here.
What are you doing to prepare? What is your daily routine?
I have been up in Minnesota riding/training with Christian Craig and my trainer John Wessling. My daily routine is waking up, going on a run or some type of warm up, then go ride. After, I either go to the gym or go on a bike ride.
What is the most enjoyable part of racing motocross?
My favorite thing about racing motocross is being able to free and clear everything out of your head and just have fun doing what I love to do.
What is something people don’t know about you but should know about you?
Haha! I'm pretty much an open book.
What has been your most memorable moment racing thus far?
My most memorable moment racing is racing in front of thousands of people at the monster energy cup.
What is the best advise you have ever been given?
The best advice that has been given to me is give 100% on whatever you do.
What do you believe are your key strengths?
My key strengths I believe is my riding style; I feel that it helps me to be smooth and precise.
What motivates you to do your best each time you are on the track?
What motivates me on the track to do the best every time is trying to be perfect and make no mistakes. Also to put down good lap times.
What have you learned from your mistakes out on the track?
I have learned a lot from my mistakes on the track. I have learned to be 100% focused on the task on hand to limit the mistakes.
What are you looking for in terms of motocross racing?
In terms of motocross, my plan is to be able to race dirt bikes my whole life. In order to do that means making a living at it to. I also want to be the best at what I do.
Favorite pre-race meal:
My favorite pre-race meal is peanut butter banana sandwich and strawberries.

Best bike I have ever raced is definitely my YZ250F.
